Nell’ambito del programma di Artdate Bergamo 2022, si terrà il primo talk pubblico promosso da STARE, una riflessione aperta e condivisa sul ruolo delle residenze d’artista nelle pratiche contemporanee.
STARE intende tutelare e promuovere le pratiche dell’arte contemporanea che operano per la promozione e lo sviluppo culturale del proprio territorio. Si vuole implementare, attraverso la permanenza nelle residenze artistiche, una conoscenza del locale da cui scaturisca una ricerca per uno sviluppo territoriale che incrocia storia, memoria e identità del luogo. Un approccio che pone al centro dell’attenzione disciplinare il territorio interconnesso alla pratica artistica, per affermarne il prodotto di un’azione collettiva, di cura, fra insediamento umano e ambiente.
Le residenze artistiche sono ormai uno strumento di lavoro imprescindibile per operatori e artisti del settore artistico, ma che stentano ad avere un riconoscimento e una legittimazione da parte delle varie istituzioni. Il talk si propone come un momento di confronto sulla centralità delle residenze artistiche all’interno della produzione e della ricerca artistica contemporanea, analizzandone criticità, prospettive e immaginando nuove politiche di sostegno.
